Brian Greer
Brian Greer is a native of Knoxville and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee. At age 18, Brian co-founded a company specializing in retail and wholesale sales and distribution of sports entertainment media. Brian used his experience in web design to set up a successful e-commerce model which allowed the company to establish an international customer base.
Between his studies at UT, Brian was honing his skills at web design and video editing. In an effort to expand beyond the retail market, Greer started a new company named GX Media, offering video production, graphic design and website development services in Knoxville, TN. By the end of 2001, Brian had designed websites and other promotional materials for businesses in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Now a sole proprietor of the company, Brian kept himself very busy over the next few years refining his craft, studying new technologies and networking with local businesses.
Brian Greer spent over four years working at Community Television of Knoxville as the organization’s Web Access and Promotions Coordinator. During his tenure there, he assisted many of Knoxville’s non-profit organizations in promoting their message through media. In addition to being CTV’s website developer, Greer produced a series of public service announcements for the Metropolitan Drug Commission, one of which was featured nationally on NBC’s “The Today Show.”
After doing some freelance work with Internet Marketing Expert Group from 2009-2010, Brian Greer was hired on a full-time basis as IMEG’s web developer in 2011. Today, with over 15 years of web and multimedia experience, Brian continues to do what he loves as part of IMEG’s creative team.
Beyond HTML and entrepreneurship, Brian is avid film enthusiast and has produced several films and documentaries. He currently lives in Knoxville with his wife, Candace, and his daughter, Ella.
